Stunning handmade necklace featuring 5 tagua beads in a beautiful shade of forest green on a waxed cotton cord. Adjustable length. This necklace comes in a beautiful reusable gift bag, handmade from upcycled sari fabric.
WHO MADE THIS JEWELLERY?
These beautiful beads are made by Mariuxi and Pablo in their small family run workshop in Santo Domingo de los Tsachilas, Ecuador. The beads are made from tagua nut, a seed from a palm tree native to the South American rainforests. Tagua is an environmentally friendly and ethical alternative to animal ivory.
The beads are then assembled into these beautiful necklaces by Lydia, from her home studio in Northern England.
Lydia's bespoke jewellery provides business for tagua artisans and donates 10% of profits to charities in Ecuador. These charities support children’s education, the building of homes and the provision of medicines and hygiene products.
